Guests still get to make their own mix at a Menchie’s franchise on wheels
The nation has a soft spot right now for the food truck movement, and a couple of Menchie’s franchise owners have been smart enough to get in on the action. Trucks in our signature plum and green are bringing a lot of joy to people in Houston and Upstate New York.
Houston’s truck, the first for the Menchie’s franchise system, is becoming a fixture at festivals, races, private parties and companies that want to reward their hard-working employees. It was also the first self-serve frozen yogurt truck in the city of Houston, where the food truck scene is thriving.
Menchie’s self-serve frozen yogurt dispensers are built into the truck, allowing guests to choose among six flavors of froyo and eight toppings that will rotate frequently. You can track its location on Twitter @menchiestruck.
In Upstate New York, the mobile self-serve frozen yogurt truck offers eight rotating flavors and as many as 40 toppings. The mobile truck launched at the Clifton Park July 4 Festival and was at the Saratoga County Fair the following week. Like the Houston truck, the mobile New York Menchie’s franchise will be on hand at public events and is available for hire for private functions.

Best of all, both trucks are set up so that guests can enjoy the interactive experience of making their own unique mix, just like they do at a typical Menchie’s franchise location. The froyo trucks help our Houston and New York franchisees make the brand more visible in their communities, as well as offering them the opportunity to earn additional revenue.
