At Menchie’s, Community Comes First

Menchie’s frozen yogurt franchise makes the world a better place by giving back

Our guests are at the center of everything we do. From the very beginning, our entire team focused on creating a place where people would unwind and relax with family and friends. Every Menchie’s frozen yogurt franchise is created to be a space of connection and fun. People and community always come first. Yes, it is a place where you can enjoy the best quality frozen yogurt around, but most importantly, it’s a place where you can feel at home.

Our guests become much more than guests; they become family. This type of connection is not contained by the building of our stores. It flows out into the community.

Our franchisees are active and engaged within their communities, and they are always looking for new ways to create smiles. From discounts given at half-time contests at local sporting events to sponsoring a local athletic team, our franchisees are giving back in many creative ways. In fact, every year more than 500 local organizations are receiving support through the efforts of our local stores.

While our franchisees are impacting their local communities, we are giving back on a national level as well. We look to partner with organizations that align with our values, some of which are health and family.

Menchie's Community Involvement

One of these organizations is the Muscular Dystrophy Association. MDA is devoted to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy and related diseases and to improving the lives of those affected by these diseases. In the last three years, we have raised $400,000 for MDA. This year, MDA invited us to take part at a local MDA camp and spend a day with the kids. Our entire Global Headquarters headed out with the hope of spreading some smiles. We were greeted by hand-painted banners and 100 very excited kids. Games, yogurt, songs and dancing filled our day, and smiles were definitely shared by all.

Veterans hold a special place in our heart, as they so generously give to our country. We try to take every opportunity to express our gratitude to those who serve. Supporting VetFran, a program helping veterans smoothly transition back into civilian life, and the creation of our Menchie’s Veteran’s program are two ways we are giving back to our veterans. Menchie’s Veteran’s Program provides a $10,000 credit towards any awarded frozen yogurt franchise option for all active duty and honorably discharged military personnel. Also, this year on Veteran’s Day, our stores across the U.S. joined forces to honor our military with free frozen yogurt. To all the veterans, we salute you!

Our guests truly mean the world to us; they are why we are business. Giving back will always be a part of how we say thank you.

If giving back to your community is as important to you as it is to us, maybe you’d be a great fit for the Menchie’s family. To start a conversation about what it takes to be a Menchie’s franchise owner, please fill out the form at right, or give us a call at 818-708-0316. We look forward to hearing from you!

We are having our annual Spring Fling Festival on March 2 at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory School for all boys. The festival funds financial aid for some students. We are looking for ‘free food’ coupons -like the 5 oz free coupon you give out- to put as prizes in our games. We could use 50-100 coupons or anything you could provide.
I can email a formal donation letter request also. Thank you for your consideration. Gina, Donations Coordinator
