Menchie’s Ranked No. 1 on Franchise Times’ Fast & Serious

Frozen yogurt franchise recognized for rapid growth, “staying power,” according to “Franchise Times”

Amit Kleinberger, CEO of the Menchie’s frozen yogurt franchise, made the cover of the March 2014 “Franchise Times.”

Menchie’s frozen yogurt franchise was awarded the No. 1 spot on “Franchise Times’ ” prestigious Fast & Serious listing, which ranks franchise systems based on growth and staying power.

At Menchie’s, we’ve grown from just one location in 2008 to more than 400 units open worldwide, with several hundred more in development. We already are the largest self-serve frozen yogurt franchise in the world, and we have every intention of growing into the legacy brand we know we can be.

In response to what “Franchise Times” calls “multiple other rankings that include too many one-year wonders,” the magazine came up with a rating system that looked at percentage and dollar amount of sales growth, number of units added over the past three years, as well as percentage of growth. The ranking system gave more consideration to growth in years two and three. “Franchise Times” analyzed 298 franchise companies with more than $40 million in sales. The end result is a ranking, published in the March 2014 edition, that identifies “fast-growing franchise systems that also have staying power,” the magazine says.
